MEET OUR STAFF

Meet Lena — Owner & Lead Pet Stylist

My name is Lena, and I’ve been devoted to the grooming industry for over 17 years. My journey began humbly — learning the basics of bathing and handling — but quickly evolved into a deep fascination with the science behind healthy skin and beautiful coats.

From an early age, I volunteered with animal rescues and shelters, helping wherever I could. Those experiences taught me the unmatched bond between people and animals and the patience, trust, and passion it takes to truly care for them. That connection continues to guide my work every single day.

Over the years, I’ve pursued extensive education through certification programs, seminars, and national grooming expos, allowing me to refine my craft and share that knowledge with the talented stylists who now make up the Ultimutt Team. Together, we are constantly learning, growing, and striving to elevate the grooming experience for both pets and their families.

In 2015, with the encouragement (and a little push!) from my husband, I took a leap of faith to create something of my own. By May 2017, Ultimutt Pet Pawlour opened its doors — a clean, welcoming, and customer-focused salon built on compassion, education, and excellence. Nearly a decade later, we are proud to serve Niles and the surrounding communities, offering each pet the care, comfort, and confidence they deserve.

MEET THE TEAM

Kadence, Pet Stylist

From an early age, animals were more than companions — they were family. Raised by a mother who worked as both a veterinary technician and groomer, she naturally found her path in the grooming profession. With over three years of hands-on experience, she combines technical precision with creative artistry, and especially enjoying poodles, doodles, and other curly-coated breeds where sculpting and expressive styling truly shine.

Her lifelong devotion to animals is evident in every session, blending patience, detail, and genuine care to ensure each dog feels as good as they look. At home, she shares her life with Remi, Denver, three cats — Chaz, Boots, and S’mores — and her horse, Dudley, where her world continues to revolve around connection, trust, and compassionate care.

Alex, Pet Stylist

Her passion for grooming began with the transformative power of a true before-and-after. Inspired by helping neglected animals receive the care and attention they deserve, she has been dedicated to the art of grooming since graduating from the Cleveland Grooming Academy in 2018. She especially appreciates Yorkshire Terriers, enjoying the precision, elegance, and personality the breed brings to the grooming table.

She finds the greatest joy in meeting new animals each day and expressing her creative, compassionate nature through thoughtful styling that helps each dog feel as beautiful as they look. At home, she shares life with her Rottweiler and cherishes time with her husband and children, enjoying crafting, singing, and the occasional video game when she can unwind.

Brittany, Pet Stylist

Animals have always been a big part of my life, and my dogs mean everything to me. That is what naturally led me into grooming, where I've spent almost 10 years working with all kinds of dogs. I especially enjoy the squish faces and senior pups who need a little extra care. At home, I have two sweet senior boxers that keep me grounded and remind me why I love what I do. They are my world along with my amazing husband Jake.

I originally thought about entering the veterinary field, but realized my heart was better suited for grooming, where I can focus on making dogs feel comfortable and cared for. Outside of work, I like to keep things simple with good food, relaxing, and spending time with my husband and around animals whenever I can.
